Demons Know The Truth

Brethren, if we say believe in the Lord but our lives are completely contradictory to the Word, what good is our belief? To know all the right theological principles, but to not live out our faith is not the way we are called to live as lights to the earth. Again, works don’t save us, but it is the evidence of true faith.
Listen, the demons know. The Bible states in James 2:19, “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble!”
May we not merely read and do nothing.
May we not merely see needs and neglect.
May we not do what we want when God has told us otherwise.
To truly know God is to have a relationship, and walk in obedience to the things He has outlined in His Word. That’s what makes the difference from those who hear and do nothing with their faith.
But it’s hard…
May we also take comfort that we were never called to walk in faith…alone
Know the truth & live the truth.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:22-25 NKJV
“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?”
James 2:14-16 NKJV
1 Samuel 15:22
“So Samuel said: ‘Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.’”
